Notes

Tourbillan automatique This watch, launched in 1989, is the flatest and smallest model of self-winding wristwatch with tourbillon in the world. The movement is only 4,8 mm thick, and Audemars Piguet had to use the back of the case as back plate. For the first time in the history of horology, it has been possible to realize a tourbillon in titanium, a very light and resistant metal. A similar watch is published in Audemars Piguet, by G. L. Brunner, Chr. Pfeiffer-Belli and M. K. Wehrli, 1993 Edition, pp. 274-275.
