Notes

In 1987, Audemars Piguet elevated this legendary design to new heights of opulence with the Haute Joaillerie version of the Royal Oak. This reference, 14575, was an exercise in extreme rarity; our research indicates only four units were sold between 1987 and 1990: one in yellow gold in 1987, two in yellow gold in 1988, and a final, unique piece in white gold in 1990. The present example, REF. 14575BC, is that breathtaking final watch—a piece unique in 18K white gold. It is a veritable cascade of light, with its bracelet, bezel, and dial meticulously paved with 578 brilliant- and baguette-cut diamonds, weighing approximately 15.53 carats. As the sole example crafted without a date window, it holds a distinct place in history. Derived from the unisex Model 14486—a 35 mm exception in an era of 36 mm Royal Oaks— this magnificent creation transcends mere timekeeping to stand as a singular work of art, representing the ultimate fusion of the Royal Oak’s iconic form with the highest expression of the jeweller’s craft.
