Notes

Audemars Piguet, calibre 2120/2800 The calibre 2120/2800 (12’’’ ½ or Ø 28 mm.) was launched by Audemars Piguet in 1978 at the height of the
quartz crisis. This extremely thin self-winding movement with central rotor (21K gold) and perpetual calendar demonstrated that there was still a future
for traditional complicated watchmaking. Built on a Jaeger-LeCoultre ébauche (blank) with an additional Dubois Dépraz plate, it was the world’s thinnest
movement of this kind. In 1984, the Manufacture equipped its “Royal Oak” models – a unique design created by Gérald Genta (1931-2011) in 1972 –
with this calibre. Thus was born the Reference 5554. This type of watch (self-winding, perpetual calendar “Royal Oak”) will be available in nine other
references, some of which are unique pieces. From 1984 to 1993, a total of 1 630 "Royal Oak" wristwatches with perpetual calendar were produced, of
which 1 587 are listed in the Audemars Piguet literature.

Audemars Piguet, Reference 25686, "Royal Oak" with perpetual calendar This reference was launched in 1987 and was produced until 1993. It was
