Created in collaboration with Michael Schumacher and unveiled in 2012, this Royal Oak Offshore translates the visual language of motor racing into one of Audemars Piguet’s most muscular chronographs. The titanium version was produced as a limited edition of 1,000 pieces and combines the Offshore’s imposing 44 mm architecture with the lightness of titanium.

Its dial carries numerous details conceived as references to Schumacher’s racing career. The minute track evokes the graphics of a racing instrument, while the seven stars positioned between 12 and 1 o’clock commemorate his seven Formula One World Championship titles, two in blue for Benetton and five in red for Ferrari. Red chronograph hands punctuate the anthracite-toned dial, while the oversized date at 3 o’clock adds another strong visual element.
The titanium case provides a striking contrast between its sharply defined geometry and comparatively low weight. Inside, the self-winding calibre 3126/3840 drives the chronograph and date functions, combining Audemars Piguet mechanics with the assertive character for which the Royal Oak Offshore became known.

Produced during Schumacher’s lifetime and with his direct involvement, the reference 26568IM occupies a distinctive position among Audemars Piguet’s sporting limited editions, bringing together the worlds of contemporary haute horlogerie and Formula One in a watch whose details are deeply connected to the driver it celebrates.
