Very fine and extremely rare, 18K white gold and diamond-set, self-winding, “tonneau”-shaped, gentleman’s, water-resistant with case-back screwed by eight screws, black dial with 11 diamond-set indexes, centre-seconds, date of the month (aperture at 3 o'clock); 18K white gold octagonal ship's porthole-shaped bezel and integrated bracelet set with 302 brilliannt-cut diamonds.

Initially launched at the beginning of the 1970’s the "Royal Oak" was the most expensive stainless steel wristwatch. After a slow beginning, this luxury sports model encountered an unprecedented success. The reference 4275 belongs to the model 4100 family.
In addition to the gemset bezel (made of 11 brilliant-cut diamonds) as it was made for the Ref. 4153, there is a "line-set" bracelet: a row of 72 brilliant-cut diamonds crosses each link from side to side, passing between the pairs of studs.
According to the manufacture, a study of the Production Register (Registre d’Etablissage) shows a total production of 27 watches sold between 1981 and 1985, of which 15 were in white gold and 12 in yellow gold. The present watch is one of the nine Ref. 4275BC distributed in 1982.
