Notes

Unveiled in 1972, the Royal Oak was a revolution, a watch that redefined the boundaries between sport and luxury. Designed by the visionary Gérald Genta, the Ref. 5402ST introduced an entirely new aesthetic language: the octagonal bezel secured by visible screws, the meticulously hand-finished integrated bracelet, and the mesmerising tapestry of its “Petite Tapisserie” dial. What was once avant-garde has become timeless.

The present example, belonging to the earliest “A-Series” production, carries the very DNA of the original concept that reshaped modern watchmaking. Powered by the ultra-thin calibre 2121, derived from Jaeger-LeCoultre’s legendary 920 movement, the Royal Oak 5402ST remains an emblem of horological artistry and bold design.
