An extremely fine and rare, gilt bronze, manual wind Eight-day going carriage clock, striking the hours and half-hours on demand or automatically. The case with substantial reeded handle above a finely foliate-engraved top centred by a large glazed aperture with gilt-metal push repeat button. Finely engraved overall with scrolling foliage, the case is fitted with thick bevelled glasses to the sides and front. The solid gilt-metal rear door features a regulation slide and a blued steel strike/silent lever. White enamel dial with Roman chapter ring and subsidiary seconds at 12 o’clock, fitted with blued steel Maltese cross hands.
