Mechanism based on the French invention patent No. 139 898, delivered on November 29, 1880, to Charles Meyrat & Rodolphe Perdrizet, Hérimoncourt et Seloncourt (Doubs), for “Un genre de règle à calcul circulaire ou cadran à calcul” (A type of circular slide rule or calculation dial).
Later, the inventors incorporated their invention in a pocket watch:

Calculating watch, Meyrat and Perdrizet system
This calculating watch is a circular slide rule to which a winding watch has been added. To simplify this slide rule, the scales for trigonometric lines were removed.
This invention is published by its authors - Charles Meyrat, an engineer from Hérimoncourt (Doubs), and Rodolphe Perdrizet, an engineer from Seloncourt (Doubs) - in Luxeuil, Imprimerie M. Pattegay, 1899 (10 pp.).
