BORDIER GENEVE QUARTER REPEATING JACQUEMART AUTOMATON GOLD AND ENAMEL Bordier & Cie., Geneva, No. 1967, case No. 932. Made circa 1810. Very fine and rare, gold and enamel, quarter repeating pocket watch with automaton scene. Accompanied by a key.

Four body, polished, fluted band, hinged gold cuvette. Small white enamel with Breguet numerals. Gold Breguet hands. Driven by the repeating train, the gold bell striking automaton scene is applied over midnight blue enamel. Two cherub automaton Jacks strike hours and quarters on two bells standing on a floral and leaf decoration. Gilt brass three-quarter plate with cylindrical pillars, going barrel, virgule escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant.
