18K yellow gold, open-face, key-winding, round-shaped, “Directoire” pocket watch, with one horological complication:
· Quarter-repeater by two hammers on two steel gongs (activated by depressing the pendant)
Case-back guilloché (engine-turned) with an oval escutcheon at the bottom; gadrooned case-band; gilded metal cuvette (dome).
White enamel dial with suspended Breguet numerals, positioned in an engraved gold frame forming ogives, with, in the centre, a polychrome painting representing an allegory of the Arts in the form of a young woman drawing; blued steel Breguet hands.
Movement 20’’’, full plate, gilded brass, fusee and chain, verge escapement, monometallic balance (probably gold) and blued steel flat hairspring,pierced and engraved gilded continental “Louis XVI” cock, silver regulator disc; repeater work on the main plate, under the dial.
