BOVET FLEURIER BOUQUET YELLOW GOLD AND ENAMEL Bovet, Fleurier, No. 5325. Made for the Chinese market, circa 1870. Fine and rare, yellow gold and painted on enamel center-seconds pocket watch with mirror-polished movement and Jacot duplex escapement.

Two-body, the bezels, pendant and bow decorated with turquoise, red, blue and green champlevé enamel and gold flowers and leaves, the back panel painted with a fine composition of flowers on a turquoise ground. Hinged gold-rimmed glazed cuvette. White enamel with radial narrow Roman numerals, outer minutes/seconds divisions, Arabic quarter hour numerals. Blued steel spade hands. Mirror-polished "Chinese" caliber with mirror polished wheel train and bridges, standing barrel, jeweled to the center, Jacot duplex escapement, three-arm bimetallic compensation balance with wedge shaped brass weights, flat balance spring, blue steel index regulator. Movement signed.
