Notes

These types of force regulators with blades were used within research for chronometer compensation. Invented by the astronomer Yvon Villarceau (1813-1883) and fabricated by Louis Breguet this instrument can be used to regulate all types of objects fitted with a watch movement by using centrifugal force. According to research by Mr Villarceau, the application is oriented towards astronomy and time keeping where constant speeds are considerable.
