Breguet & Fils No. 2973, commissioned to Leroy on 30 June 1817, for 1200 Francs. Very fine weight driven fifteen day going, hour and half hour striking mantel regulator.

C. Black marble rectangular based frame by a gilt bronze moulded frieze chased with formal decoration and supported by four cast gilt bronze acorn feet; the movement is secured by four blued steel screws on a heavy gilt brass cast bracket. D. White enamel with Turkish numerals. Gilt brass Breguet hands and counterpoised blued steel seconds. Gilt bronze bezel with vine branche decoration. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, the weight driven going train with maintaining power, pin-wheel escapement set on the back plate, gridiron half-second beating pendulum, with knife-edge suspension. Striking train with going barrel and count wheel on the back plate, striking on a bell. Signed on the front plate below the dial. Accompanied by Breguet certificate No. 3977. Dim. 55 x 38 x 26 cm. including the glass protecting cage.
