Breguet No. 680/3048, Repetition a punts, sold to Mr. Ouvrard on 10 Vent6se An 9 (1 March 1801), for 1500 Francs. Bought back from Mr. Ouvrard, it was renewed and sold to Mr. le Comte d'Apranin on 1 April 1818, for 1400 Francs. Fine 18K gold quarter repeating watch de Premiere acme, with jumping hour hand, accompanied by the original short gold chain and a gold key.

C. Four body, "forme collier", by Tavernier No. 1455, engine-turned "a grains d ' orge". Hinged gold cuvette. D. Silver engine-turned with Roman numerals on a polished chapter ring. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 18"' , gilt brass "calibre de premiere classe " with going barrel, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, blued steel balance spring with bimetallic compensation curb on the regulator index. Quarter repeating on one gong with a single hammer, through a steel intermediate steel block, pull-twist piston through the pendant. Signed on the dial and cuvette. Diam. 47 mm.

Note: As often when early watches were bought back by Breguet, they were renewed before being sold with a new serial number; in this case, it was fitted with a new back and the enamel dial was replaced by a silver engine-turned one.
