Breguet No. 2422, sold to Madame Veuve Sauvage on 14 December 1853, for 1200 Francs. Fine 18K gold, quarter repeating dead independent centre seconds watch in original fitted box.

C. Four body, "forme quatre baguettes", engineturned "a grains d'orge " . Hinged gold cuvette engraved with a crucifix. D. White enamel with Roman numerals and the motto: Timor domini, indium sapientioe. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 19''', gilt brass double train, bar calibre with going barrels wound separately, 32 jewels, swan neck Swiss lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring. Independent seconds train with flirt on the escape pinion and bolt in the band. Repeating on gongs with slide in the band. Signed on the dial and cuvette.
