Important Watches, Wristwatches and C...
Geneva, Hotel Des Bergues, Oct 12, 1996
Abraham-Louis Breguet, Paris, circa 1795.
Collection of 7 brass watch calibres, 4 of them wrapped in their original folding papers. From the Breguet workshop, these calibres were made for each model of movement, with the position of the pivot's holes and the drawing of the wheels with their number of teeth. They were kept carefully as working blue-prints, so that movements could be reproduced without a new calculation of the wheel train. Lot of 7.
