Breguet, No. 2678. Made in Geneva for the Islamic market, circa 1820. Very fine and rare, quarter repeating, Etablissement Mixte, 18K gold pocket watch.
C. Four-body, ?Empire?, polished bezel, engine-turned band, hinged back decorated with a pattern of concentric engine-turned circles. Gilt metal hinged cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Islamic numerals, outer minute track. Blued steel hands. M. 51 mm., frosted gilt, standing barrel, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring, pare-chute, index regulator with bimetallic compensation curb, repeating on square section gongs activated by a pull-and-twist piston in the pendant. Cuvette signed. Diam. 56 mm.
