Notes

The present watch is one of those made by Breguet in Switzerland after 1814, when Geneva had become part of the Swiss Confederation. It was almost certainly made in collaboration with Decombaz, the best Genevan watchmaker at the time, who often worked with Breguet, especially for self-winding and grande sonnerie watches. The case bears Geneva marks and also French hallmarks of the period.
