Breguet No. 5121, case No. 66, made in 1888, sold to M. V. Chrousckoff on 26th July 1889, for 1000 Francs. Fine and rare gilt bronze, quarter-repeating full Grande and Petite Sonnerie, carriage clock with four quarter-striking Westminster carillon on four gongs and alarm. Original fitted travelling box.
C. Gilt and silvered bronze, "Anglaise riche" glazed four sides, with Corinthian columns and finials, raised top glass panel with silvered moulding. D. Frosted and gilt sunk in the dial plate, with Roman numerals and subsidiary alarm setting dial. Blued-steel "spade" hands. M. Brass, eight-day with going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, gilt brass platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, bimetallic balance, blued-steel flat balance spring. Four quarter-striking, quarter-repeating and alarm on four gongs with button on the top, Grande/Petite Sonnerie - Strike/Silent, lever in the base. Signed on the dial and back plate. hl very good condition. Dim. 20 x 13.5 x 12.5 cm., excluding the handle.
