Breguet No. 1963, sold in 1928 to M. Jean Brenot for 4'000 francs. Extremely fine and probabily unique, large, tonneau-shaped, 18ct yellow gold and stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with coaxial single button chronograph on the winding-crown, register and tachometer.

C. bicoloured, shaped, massive, polished, satined, lapidated lugs, stainless steel bezel, screwed bars. D. mat silver with painted Arabic numerals + auxiliary seconds and 30 minutes register dials, at the centre, spiral tachometric scale. "Moderne" blued steel hands. M. 15 "' rhodiumed, 17 jewels, lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, Breguet balance-spring, the coaxial single button on the winding-crown is for start-stop and return to zero functions of the chronograph. Dial and case signed. In very good condition. Dim. 38 x 47 mm.

Notes

This watch is very rare because of the shape of its case and the very special iconography of the tachometric scale on the dial. The price of 4'000 francs paid at the time for a wristwatch is enormous, considering the period of crisis in the international financial world.
