Breguet No. 1238, sold to Mr. Castaneda on Prairial an 6 (1804), for 1500 Francs. Fine 18 ct. gold and enamel pearl-set "médaillon montre à tact".

Double body, "forme collier", made by Tavernier, No. 1115, the cover of translucent grey enamel over engine-turning, seed pearl touch pieces on the reeded band, the pearl-set arrow hand applied on the revolving polished back. Gold cuvette engraved: "Breguet No. 1238", with eccentric dial aperture. D. Silver small eccentric with Breguet numerals, fixed on the barrel's bridge. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 16"', frosted and gilt, "souscription" calibre with central barrel, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance, blued steel flat balance spring. Signed on the movement and cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 43 mm.
