Breguet, Horloger de la Marine Royale, No. 3455, sold to Comte d'Otrante on 1 July 1820, for 2110 Francs. Fine 18 ct. gold half quarter repeating watch with jumping hour hand.
C. Four body, "forme quatre baguettes", engineturned made by Joly (Master mark) No. 2357. Hinged gold cuvette pierced for a later folding winding key. D. Silver engineturned with Roman numerals on a polished chapter ring and slightly offset subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 21-, gilt brass, first class calibre, with going barrel, overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with parachute suspension, flat balance spring with bimetallic compensation curb on the index. Repeating on one gong with a single hammer through a steel intermediate steel block, with pull-twist piston in the band. Signed on the dial and cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 56 mm.
