Breguet & Fils, No. 3431, sold to William Haldimand on 29 November 1820, for 2400 Francs. Fine 18ct. gold quarter repeating watch "de première classe".
C. Three body, "forme quatre baguettes", engine-turned with Iater polished back panel. Gold cuvette. D. Silver engine-turned with Roman numerals on a polished chapter. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 20-, gilt brass, Breguet over hanging ruby cylinder escapement, plain brass balance with "parachute" suspension, flat balance spring with bimetallic compensation curb on the regulator. Repeating on a gong with a single hammer through steel intermediate spring block, with pull-twist piston in the band. Signed on the dial and the cuvette. In good condition. Diam. 53 mm.
