Etablissement/Mixte Breguet, Swiss, circa 1810. Fine and very rare 18 ct. gold, 8 day going, wondering time watch.

C. Four body, Empire, with reeded band and engine turned back. GiIt brass cuvette. D. Gold, polished with an engraved figure of Father Time, semi circular aperture on the upper part, the time is pointed by the hours, revolving in front of an enamel minute sector. M. GiIt brass, unusual caliber with an extra large free standing barrel, cylinder escapement, plain gold three arm balance, flat balance spring. Signed on the dial and cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 61 mm.

According to the inscription: "Etablissement Mixte Breguet", engraved on the cuvette, this watch might have been bought by Breguet in Switzerland and sold by him. However, the register of the "Etablissement Mixte", does not exist anymore, therefore it is not possible to get certificates for such watches.
