Breguet No. 3762, made in 1938. Fine 18 ct. two coloured gold, keyless pocket chronometer, with Bulletin de aère classe, catégorie A, on 13 June 1938 at the National Observatory of Besançon and awarded the gold medal at the 44th timing contest, 1938-1939, with 250,82/300.

C. Double body, massive, "Empire", polished with reeded band and white gold rims, the monogram: " A.G.", engraved on the back. Gold hinged cuvette, engraved with the awarded prize. D. Satine silver with Breguet numerals and subsidiary seconds. Gold Breguet hands. M. 18"', rhodium plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 20 jewels, straight line lever escapement, brass-invar Guillaume balance, adjusted by G. Grogg, bluedsteel balance spring with terminal curve. Signed on the dial, case and movement. In very good condition. Diam. 49 mm.

The mark in the form of the head of a viper on the movement, was punched by the Observatory of Besançon to certify the watch to have been entered for the concours.
