C. Three body, Empire, with reeded band and bezel, and engine-turned back. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. D. Silver engine-turned, with Roman numerals on a polished chapter, inner half moon sector for the equation of time and apertures for the dates and the months.blued-steel Breguet hands. M. 22"', gilt brass, Lepine calibre with free-standing barrel, cylinder escapement with plain steel three-armed balance, flat balance spring and ruby end-stone. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant, with visible repeating work. Signed on the dial and cuvette. In excellent condition. Diam. 60 mm.

Watches with equation of time are extremely rare, and Charles Oudin was a specialist in their production. Indeed, he invented a special equation mechanism, to be used on the Breguet 'montres rie souscription' caliber.
