Le Roy, Elève de Breguet, No. 4545, Swiss, made for the Islamic market, circa 1830. Very fine 18 ct. gold and enamel, pair cased " cabriolet" watch. In a rectanglar fitted boudoir display casket, covered in tortoise shell, pewter and brass Boule work inlaid with ivory.

Outer double body,"bassine pincée", the bezels with a champleve enamelled decoration in a Greek pattern, the back with flowers, finely painted, "en grisaille" on a black ground. outer scrolled champleve decoration. Inner four body "bassine pincée" with a decoration matching that of the outer case, the back finely painted "en grisaille" with a trophy of astronomical instruments, on a pink ground. The watch can be turned in the outer case in such a way it can be used as an open face or as a hunter. D. White enamel with Turkish numerals. Gold Breguet hands. M. 14"', gilt brass, bar caliber, 8 jewels, cylinder escapement with a plain gilt brass three armed balance, flat balance spring. Signed on the dial and and the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 44 mm.
