C. By Tavernier. Three-body, 'forme collier', with reeded band and gold touch pieces, bezels and ring pendant. The front cover, with dots for à tact hour division, and with eccentric visible dial, has radial engine-turning from the gold dial bezel, with an outer band of translucent blue enamel. A further band of blue enamel is found on the perimeter of the gold oval reserve. The revolving engine-turned back cover, with an outer band of translucent blue enamel, has a gold 'arrow' à tact hand. Gilbrass dust cover. D. Small, eccentric, silvered dial with Arabic numerals. Blued-steel 'Breguet' hands. M. 57.4mm o, gilt brass bridges, central barrel, five-wheel train, ruby cylinder escapement, plain brass three-arm balance with flat, blued-steel balance spring, bimetallic compensation curb, pare-chute shock protection on the top pivot.Signed Breguet on the dial mask and the movement, serial number stamped inside back cover and engraved on the dust cover, case stamped with French silver standard hallmarks used between 19 June, 1798, and 31 August 1809.Diam. 65 mm. Monsieur De la SernaConsul of Spain, he and his brother were regular clients of Breguet, notably in 1801 and 1802.
