Breguet & Fils, Swiss, No 1976, circa 1825. Fine 18 ct. gold quarter repeating watch with jumping hour hand.

Three body massive "Empire" case, with reeded band and engine tumed back. GiIt brass cuvette. White enamel dial with Breguet numerals, bearing the secret signature. Blued steel Breguet hands. Fine gilt brass bar movement with a going barrel, Breguet ruby cylinder escapement with a plain brass three armed balance, Breguet "parachute" suspension and bimetallic compensation curb. Repeating on one gong with a single hammer by means of a lockable piston sliding through the pendant. Signed on the dial and the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 56 mm. The movement of this watch is almost identical to those made by Breguet at the sanie period.
