"An Important Banking Family" Breguet, No. 4802, sold to a member of an important banking family on March 24, 1837, for 1,600 Francs. Extremely fine and very rare, 18K gold "simple medaillon à tact" hunting-cased pocket watch with ruby cylinder escapement, short gold chain and gold double-ended male and female key. Accompanied a period box and certificate.

(master mark), No. 150, flat engine-turned band with 12 hour pins (including the pendant) for the à tact, the covers engine-turned "à grains d'orge", the front cover with à tact hand. Gold cuvette with apertures for winding and regulation. D. White enamel with Breguet numerals, outer five minute, quarter-hour and half-hour track, secret signature below 12. Single blued steel hand. M. 32 mm., 14 1/2''', frosted gilt, "souscription" caliber, wound from the back only, five wheel train, ruby cylinder escapement mounted below the dial, gold three-arm balance, the top pivot with pare-chute, the balance and escape wheels pivots jeweled, blued steel flat balance spring, blued steel index regulator.
