Breguet , Paris, N°3165, circa 1860. Fine and very unusual, glazed gilt brass, "grande and petite sonnerie", quarter repeating, giant carriage clock with center sweep seconds, alarm and special escapement.

Gilt bronze "corniche" case, glazed on five faces. Silver engine-turned dial with Roman numerals. Blued steel Breguet hands. Gilt brass engine turned dial plate. Very fine rectangular brass movement with fusee and chain, pivoted detent platform escapement with a plain brass five armed balance, a flat balance spring and a ruby endstone. Striking and repeating on two gongs, the striking train with a going barrel, the striking work on the back plate. Signed on the dial. In good condition Dim. 25 x 16 x 12 cm.
