A Amil Bey Watch No. 2193, sold on 2 October 1817, for the sum of 4000 Piastres. Gold watch with "grande" and "petite" sonnerie striking and quarter-repeating. Original Breguet gold short chain and ratchet key.
Case: 18 ct., four body, quatre baguettes form, by Joly, No. 1920, engine-turned n grains d'orge. Gold
cuvette signed: "Breguet, No. 2193".
Dial: White enamel, signed: "Breguet et Fils",
with Turkish numerals, and secret signature
below "12" (hair lines). Blued-steel Breguet
hands.
Movement: Gilt brass, 20"', signed: "Breguet, No.2193", full plate caliber with two trains,
overhanging ruby cylinder escapement, three-arm
plain brass balance with parachute on the top pivot.
Blued-steel flat balance spring. Grande/petite
sonnerie striking on two gongs with two
hammers, with strike/silent grande/petite
selection levers through the bezel. Independant
quarter-repeating train with pull-twist piston in
the pendant.
In very good condition, with a red leather fitted
case.
