Notes

Boubon
Established his business in 1806 at Palais du Tribunal. In 1810 he moved to the Galerie de Pierre in the Palais Royal, where he remained until 1820. In 1830 he was at Galerie Colbert. It is interesting to note that Boubon followed in the footsteps of the famous Oudin, who in 1804 was doing business at the Palais du Tribunal, and who in 1810 moved to the Galerie de Pierre, where he also remained ten years. The present watch displays certain characteristics of Oudin, and it is conceivable that Boubon worked closely with Oudin. The Musée International d'Horlogerie in La Chaux-de-Fonds has a watch made by Boubon.
