Rectangular black marble with canted corners, the front decorated with foliate strapwork mounts, outswept feet, the top surmounted by the figures of a young couple in 18th century costume on a grassy mound. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions. Gilt brass fancy trefoil hands. M. 80 mm., gilt brass, circular, going barrels for both trains, anchor escapement, silk suspension, brass bob pendulum, outside countwheel, striking the hours and halfhours on a bell.
