Breguet Quarter Striking & Repeating Table Clock Breguet, No. 1105. Made circa 1920. Very fine and rare, 8-day going, quarter-striking and repeating, shagreen and ivory table clock with alarm. Accompanied by the original Breguet fitted case.
C. Rectangular with flared base, overlaid with panels of shagreen with ivory stringing and ivory feet, vertically sliding back door, silvered bezel. D. Brushed silver with radial champleve Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals. Silver Breguet hands. M. 10 x 7.5 cm, rectangular brass plates, going barrels for both trains, straight-line lever escapement on a brass platform, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, flat balance spring, index regulator, striking on two coiled gongs with two hammers, separate alarm train, white enamel alarm setting dial with Arabic numerals, silence/sonnerie lever, repeating activated by a button in the top of the case. Dial and movement signed. Dim. 18.5 x 10 x 13.5 cm.
