Swiss Quarter-Repeating and Virgule Escapement Breguet a Paris, Swiss, No. 3784. Made circa 1820. Fine, quarter-repeating, 18K rose gold pocket watch with virgule escapement.
C. Four-body, forme collier, engine-turned grains d?orge, flat engine-turned band. Hinged gilt cuvette. D. Gold engine-turned with a checkerboard pattern, black radial Roman numerals on brushed reserves, outer minute divisions on a brushed ring. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. 52 mm., matte gilt, standing barrel, four jewels, virgule escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs with two polished steel hammers activated by depressing the pendant. Cuvette signed. Diam. 57 mm.
