Breguet Split-Seconds Chronograph Breguet, Swiss, No. 4742. Made circa 1915. Very fine, keyless, 18K yellow gold pocket watch with split-seconds chronograph and register.
C. Four body, bassine, solid, polished, curved bezel, button at 11 for the split-seconds, button in the crown for the start/ stop and return-to-zero function of the chronograph. Hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and fifths of a second divisions, Arabic five-minute numerals, subsidiary dials for the seconds and 30-minute register. Gold spade hands. M. Cal. 17''', rhodium-plated, fausses cotes decoration, 27 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with overcoil, swan-neck micrometer regulator. Dial and cuvette signed. Diam. 46 mm.
