1. Dated Oct 16, 1815 from Madrid praising his talent and deploring the state of Spanish watchmaking, also discusses a platinum chain. 2. Dated Jan 27, 1816, concerning the Duchess of Angoulême, daughter of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, and congratulating Breguet on his nomination as Horologer to the Marine Royale. The Duke and Duchess de l?Infantado, from one of the oldest noble Spanish families, were friends and patrons of Breguet from 1780.
