Harbor Scene "Répétion Breguet", Geneva, made for the Islamic market circa 1840. Very fine and extremely rare thin 18K gold and painted on enamel quarter-repeating jump-hour watch with ruby cylinder escapement.

Four-body, "bassine et filets", back finely painted with an harbor scene, white champlevé flowers on broad bezels against translucent scarlet enamel over flinqué, band, pendant and bow with repeated pattern of white and translucent scarlet enamel, gold hinged cuvette. D. Jump-hour aperture at the top with Islamic numerals, silver eccentric engine-turned minute chapter, subsidiary sunk seconds. Gilt Breguet hand. M. 45 mm. (20'''), frosted gilt, 14 jewels, ruby cylinder escapement, gilt 3-armbalance, flat balance spring with compensation curb, repeating on gongs by pull-and-twist piston in the pendant.Signed "Répétion Breguet" on the cuvette.Diam. 53 mm.
