Breguet No. 2868, finished on January 24, 1933, sold to Monsieur Giély on November 7 1933, for 4500 Fr. Very fine and important 18K gold keyless dress chronometer with split-seconds chronograph, instantaneous 60-minute register, tachometer scale for 50-250 km per hour. Accompanied by First Class bulletin from l'Observatoire de Besançon, Gold Medal with 216 points.
C. Four-body, "Empire", polished with reeded band, gold hinged cuvette with inscription "Observatoire de Besançon, Bulletin de 1ère classe, Médaille d'or". D. White enamel, Breguet numerals, outer minute track, then tachometer scale with 1000 base, outermost chronograph track divided into fifths with five-minute/seconds Arabic markers, minute register at 12, subsidiary sunk seconds. Blued steel "spade" hands. M. 43 mm. (19'''), frosted gilt, ébauche de G. Grogg, 26 jewels, straight line lever ecapement, anibal-brass Guillaume balance with special alloy Breguet balance spring, punched with viper's head.Signed on dial and case.Diam. 52 mm.
