Notes

Previously sold by Antiquorum, April 14, 1991, The Art of Breguet, lot 117. This watch obtained a gold medal at the Besançon Observatory Timing Contest with 216 points, an exceptional result, especially for a watch with split-seconds chronograph. The viper's head was the official Besançon Observatory hallmark, acknowledging the fact that the watch took part in one of their timing contests. For a note on Anibal balances, see lot 379.
