The records show that this watch benefited from "ré-glage de 1ère Classe", which is the highest standard of finishing and adjustment applied to chronometer movements. The use of a Guillaume balance in a wristwatch is exceptionally rare. These factors would justify the considerable amount originally paid for the watch.
