C. Gilt bronze "Corniche", glazed on four sides and top. D. White enamel with Roman numerals, outer Arabic minute ring and subsidiary alarm setting dial. Blued steel "spade" hands. Frosted and gilt dial plate. M. Brass rectangular with going barrels both on the going and the striking trains, platform escapement with lateral lever escapement, cut bimetallic balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring. Striking, repeating and alarm on gongs with button on the top and Strike/Silent lever in the bas.Signed on the dial and movement.Dim. 11 x 8 x 7,5 cm., excluding the handle.

The Princess Marie Bonaparte (1882-1962) was the wife of the Prince Georges of Greece and Denmark (1869-1957), son of the King Paul I of Greece (1845-1913). She was the daughter of the Prince Roland Bonaparte (1858-1914).
