Notes

Giteau was a pupil of Breguet. After his studies with the Master he set up shop in Paris in the Galerie de Valois. He is known for making some very interesting and unusual pieces, such as an astronomical clock with orrery sold by Antiquorum on June 14, 2003, lot 80.
