Breguet No. 4273, made by Louis Audemars, Brassus, Swiss, No. 12879 in 1878. Very fine 18K gold, hunting-cased, astronomical, minute-repeating pocket watch with perpetual calendar, phases and age of the moon, and chronograph.
C. Five-body, "bassine et filets", polished, hinged gold cuvette. D. White enamel, Roman numerals, outer minutetrack, outermost fifth second timing scale and Arabic five minute markers, four subsidiary dials for days of theweek, date, months of the four year leap cycle and subsidiary seconds concentric with phases of the moonaperture and lunar age scale. M. 43 mm (19???), frosted gilt 3/4 plate, 26 jewels, counterpoised straight line leverescapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel Breguet balance spring. Repeating on gongsvia activating slide in the band.Signed and numbered on the pillar plate under the dial, case stamped with maker's stamp, moon phases signedunder the counter enamel, cuvette signed Breguet.Diam. 54 mm.
