Notes

Among the most best ebauche makers who worked for Breguet, the Genevan watchmaker Descombaz was one of the most appreciated. Descombaz is particularly known for his self-winding movements with weights and his repeating watches. Some of the ebauches originally destined for Breguet were in fact finished in Geneva and sold under the Breguet name. These watches were usually destined for the English, German, or Italian markets. The present watch is probably one of such watches.
