Breguet & Fils, Swiss, circa 1820. Fine 18K gold, half skeletonised, quarter repeating watch with automaton Jacks.

C. Three body, Empire, with reeded band and engineturned back. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. D. Small white enamel chapter ring with Breguet numerals. Gilt brass hands. Driven by the repeating work, two coloured gold automaton Jacks on each side of the dial, strike hours and quarter on two bell above. Gilt brass dial plate fully engraved with scrolls and applied with a visible polished steel repeating work. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance and flat balance spring. Gilt brass continentall cock with garnet end-stone. Repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant. Apocryphal signature on the gilt cuvette. Diam. 53 mm.
