Breguet a Paris, Swiss, No. 7652, circa 1820. Fine 18K gold, quarter repeating watch with three automaton Jacks.

C. Three body, Empire, with reeded band and engineturned back decorated in a sunburst pattern. Hinged gilt brass cuvette. D. Small gold chapter ring with Breguet numerals on white enamel cartouches. Blued-steel Breguet hands. Driven by the repeating work and applied on the blue enamel dial plate, two coloured gold automaton Jacks on each side of the dial and a small Cupid below, strike hours and quarter on three bells. M. Gilt brass full plate with cylindrical pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-arm balance and flat balance spring. Gilt brass continentall cock with garnet end-stone. Repeating on three gongs with three hammers, by depressing the pendant. Apocryphal signature on the gilt cuvette. Diam. 57 mm.
