Charles Zahnd, Chronoinetre Tonrbillon a Detente, Saint Iinier, (Swiss), made in 1915. Extremely fine and important 18K gold hunting cased pocket chronometer with one minute tourbillon regulator and spring detent escapement, made in 1915 at the Ecole d'Horlogerie de Saint Imier (Switzerland) as Master Piece, with the original chromium plated school case, the original drawings, school report and awards at the contest organised at the Observatory of Neuchatel in 1923, in celebration of the 100th aniversary of Breguet's death.

C. Four body, massive "bassine et filets", polished. Hinged gold cuvette engraved: "Chronometre Charles ZHAND - Tou.rhillon a Detente - St. Imier 1915". D. White enamel with bold Roman numerals, sunk centre and subsidiary seconds. Blued steel Breguet hands. M. Glazed 19"', Girard Perregaux style calibre with three parallel bridges, 15 jewels, spring detent escapement with gold escape wheel, brass-invar Guillaume balance, blued steel balance spring with terminal curve. Pellaton type 1, equidistant polished steel three arm tourbillon carriage with index scale. Signed on the cuvette. In very good condition. Diam. 58 mm.
