Notes

Commissioned by the French Air Force to deliver 2000 watches for their pilots, the Breguet Type XX reference 5101 was the first model delivered.
Using a Valjoux 222 assembled by Matthey Tissot, the first type XX’s were assembled featuring an unsigned dial as well as a 30-min flyback chronograph and an onion crown to facilitate operations wearing gloves.
With military engravings on the caseback confirming the delivery in 1954 and its end of warranty in 1957, this example has remained in excellent original condition featuring a gorgeous deep brown tropical dial matching luminous to the indexes and hands (only the chronograph seconds hand has been relumed), it is a delightful all original example that will please military chronograph collectors.
